Terms and Conditions
Please read this agreement carefully before accessing or using the Letter-join website operated by Green and Tempest Ltd. The information and services on the Letter-join website are provided by Green and Tempest Ltd subject to your agreement to the Terms and Conditions below.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
Letter-join is a subscription based website that allows you to watch animations of patterns, letters and words using joining techniques for cursive script. Whiteboard pop-ups are also available on the School Edition for tracing the patterns, letters or words on interactive whiteboards. The Tablet Edition is available as an extra to the main PC website.
Subscribing schools purchase the right to access the website, as well as a number of classroom accounts for a renewable annual fee. The registered Named Administrator for an account is entirely liable for all activities conducted through that account, and is responsible for ensuring that any other person who uses the account is aware of, and complies with, these Terms and Conditions. Each person who uses the account agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, whether or not this person is a member. You will promptly notify us of any known or suspected unauthorised use(s) of your account, or any known or suspected breach of security, including loss, theft, or unauthorised disclosure of your username and password.
The Tablet Edition is for the use of subscribers to the Letter-join School Edition and for schools that have subscribed to the Home/School Edition. It is not available with the Free Trial. The usernames and login codes created for each school's Tablet Edition are only to be used on school Tablets and the Home/School Edition log-in details are only to be used by pupils on their personal tablets. These log-in details must not be shared or disclosed to third parties. The School Tablet Edition of Letter-join allows for up to 30 logins per classroom account on school tablets within school and the Home/School Tablet Edition of Letter-join allows for up to 30 pupil logins per classroom account on personal tablets at home. All visible and programming elements of the Tablet Edition are copyright Green and Tempest Ltd 2014.
We have successfully tested the Tablet Edition of Letter-join on a wide variety of tablet/browser/operating system combinations. If, however, you find it does not operate correctly on your tablet, we will do our utmost to rectify this but cannot guarantee compatibility on every tablet.
Individuals subscribe to Letter-join for use on their own personal computers within a home environment for a renewable annual fee. The person who's name is registered for an account is entirely liable for all activities conducted through that account, and is responsible for ensuring that any other person who uses the account is aware of, and complies with, these Terms and Conditions. Each person who uses the account agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, whether or not this person is a member. You will promptly notify us of any known or suspected unauthorised use(s) of your account, or any known or suspected breach of security, including loss, theft, or unauthorised disclosure of your username and password.
As well as being for assessment purposes, the free trial of Letter-join should be also seen as a compatibility test. Please ensure that the functions within the Letter-join web site are compatible with your computer and browser combination before purchasing Letter-join. The free trial of Letter-join is a trial of the School Edition of Letter-join only. Home users should note that the interactive whiteboard activities are not accessible should the Home Edition of Letter-join be purchased. Registration for the free trial of Letter-join is for assessment purposes only. If the allocated free trial period is not sufficient for you to assess Letter-join sufficiently, please contact us to apply for an extended trial period. Persistent registration to the free trial by any individual or institution may be suspended immediately without notice. The free trial does not include access to the Tablet Edition.
The Letter-join fonts are available for use in Microsoft Word and other applications that support Contextual Alternates, within any school that has a current subscription to the School Edition of Letter-join. It is not to be used outside the subscribing school. The font may be updated without notice. If the School Subscription is terminated for any reason, the font must be deleted from any devices where it has been installed. The Letter-join font is the copyright of Green and Tempest Ltd and must only be used as described in these Terms and Conditions. Any disregard of these terms may result in breach of copyright.
All subscriptions will be pre-paid annually. Green and Tempest Ltd reserves the right to change the amount of any fees or charges for the Letter-join service, and to institute new fees by posting such changes on the Letter-join website.
Green and Tempest Ltd does not automatically invoice you when your subscription runs out, but an automatic e-mail will be sent to the Named Administrator or Registered Person approximately one month before the expiry of the subscription with the option to renew.
It is not the responsibility of Green and Tempest Ltd if your access is halted because the subscription is not renewed. You are advised to renew your subscription at least two weeks before your account is due to expire. If your account becomes overdue, Green and Tempest Ltd will suspend your access until payment is received.
Please note that we are unable to accept cancellation once your account has been activated as a trial account is freely available for assessment purposes.
Your access to the Letter-join website is by username and password or swipe code (Tablet Edition). The Named Administrator or Registered Person will be provided with log-in details. The School login details should not be shared with anyone, nor should they be displayed publicly (e.g. on a school website, intranet, forum or blog) or published in any shape or form. Log-in details for the Home/School Edition may be distributed to pupils and their parents in print form but must not be published on any website. Once your login details are issued it is your responsibility to keep a record of them and their expiry date.
You may not select a username that we, in our sole discretion, deem inappropriate or offensive. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password, and you will be responsible for all uses of your username and password, whether or not authorised by you.
Should your log-in details be lost or forgotten, these can only be retrieved by the Named Administrator or Registered Person by contacting Green and Tempest Ltd directly, preferably by email.
